Hall of Fame Boxing Manager and Television Producer, Teresa Tapia. has partnered up with UFC Hall of Fame fighter, Diego Sanchez, for an exclusive Network collaboration that will launch on Roku in May and on S.O.M. Networks (Something Original in the Making) by June. 


Together, Teresa Tapia and Diego Sanchez will feature sports entertainment content on their Tapia and Sanchez Sports Network channel. From Boxing to MMA and everything in-between, both Tapia and Sanchez will showcase some of the most prominent and up and coming talents in the Combative Sports Industry. 


Teresa Tapia is well known in the Boxing Industry for her role as Manager and beloved wife to the late, 6-time, Boxing Champion Johnny Tapia from 1994 until his death in 2012. By 2004, Tapia was inducted and recognized as the first and only female boxing manager in the history of boxing to receive a Special Recognition Award from the Boxing Hall Of Fame. In 2010 Tapia became a Boxing Promoter and has owned and operated Tapia Promotions, based out of Albuquerque. She has become a Special Ambassador for the prestigious WBC (World Boxing Council) and spokesperson for the WBC Domestic Violence Campaign. After the death of her husband, she continued pushing the Tapia name and legacy. In Summer 2013 her husband’s documentary, “Tapia”, premiered at the LA Film Festival and then aired on HBO by Winter. 


Currently, Teresa Tapia is apart of the film production crew with Film Director Mark K. Buddington (Director of “Impact Boxing” and Writer/Director on “Knockout”) on “Stars and Champions”; a new TV Series that was picked up by Impact Network.

UFC Hall of Famer & Reality TV star, Diego Sanchez, also known as Nightmare and a fellow New Mexican to Tapia, is an active 16 year MMA fighter. Sanchez is well known for his 7 time wins as “Fight of the Night” winner and for his appearance on the hit Reality TV Series (SpikeTV) “The Ultimate Fighter”, which he became the first to win in UFC history. Most recently, Sanchez won against Michel Pereira, aka Demolidor, with 2 knockouts back in February 2020.
